How my journey began

I am a qualified Holistic Health coach from the Institute of Integrative of Nutrition. I am also a mom of 2 young boys, I totally understand the pressures of not just juggling day-to-day life but wanting the best for my children in terms of their health and well-being now and for their future. I want to set them up with the best habits now so that as they grow through each life stage they can thrive and maintain healthy balance physically and mentally.

It’s also vital for parents to be optimally healthy and well to have the energy, motivation and positive influence for their children.

My goal is to ensure a healthy approach to living for all your family. No matter where you are in the world, this approach will help you clarify what you want to achieve right now for your family in terms of healthy eating and lifestyle choices and form the plan to make it happen.

It may surprise you, but I didn’t grow up with an affinity for cooking. It was only when I moved out of the dorms and into my own apartment that I started cooking and began to realize the health (and weight) implications of eating out versus eating in.

When I moved to California in my twenties my interest in the health food culture, paired with uncomfortable digestive issues and anemia, led me on the path that solidified my passion for wellness through food. I was visiting GI doctors, naturopaths, and being put through different treatments when I started to notice a correlation between what I was eating and how my body felt.

I never cook alone. My kids are always on their stools beside me, peeling potatoes, mashing avocados, or mimicking whatever prep I’m doing. Not only do they surprise me with how capable they are but I found that they are way more willing to eat what I’m serving when they are part of making it.

In my coaching program, one of the first things I teach my clients is the importance of eating whole foods. A diet rich in real, fibrous plants is the foundation for a healthy gut, healthy body and energized life! My hope for my service is to help others feel more confident in the kitchen, more prepared to cook for themselves even in the midst of their busy lives, and more connected to their families through the shared experiences of nourishing themselves together.

Getting a healthy, homemade dinner on the table shouldn’t be so hard. I LOVE helping to solve this problem with easy (yet flavorful) recipes, meal prep tips, nutrition science, personalized coaching and healthy lifestyle suggestions. With clients I focus on replacing habits instead of removing them. That change in perspective can make all the difference.

NOTE: My service is not intended to replace recommendations or advice from physicians or other healthcare providers.
